Collector Panels are the most common type of collector in Australia and generally consist of copper riser pipes connected top and bottom with header pipes. These pipes are either soldered to the collector plate or attaching with clips and heat-conducting paste. The tubes and plate are fitted in a casing with insulation material behind a low-iron tempered glass which is quite strong and reflects less of the incoming energy. Most collector panels are generally one metre wide by two metres high, but can vary slightly.
